Marcia Sinfield, Chief Executive

Marcia joined Family Housing as its Chief Executive in January 2020. Prior to that, she was Deputy Chief Executive at Tai Calon Community Housing, supporting the organisation to achieve Customer Service Excellence and Best Companies recognition. A qualified accountant for over 25 years, Marcia has held a number of senior roles in local government, including supporting regeneration projects undertaken by Cardiff Council. She also has experience of being a Board Member and has supported housing associations to improve, following regulatory intervention.  

She believes that access to good quality affordable housing is essential to maintain healthy, resilient communities and that this is a key driver of prosperous local economies. She is committed to maximising outcomes for tenants and service users through continuous improvement and working together. 

Marcia is an advocate of the importance of health and well-being and is a Run Leader. She runs slower than the rest of her family but that gives her more time to enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside


Cerys Gregory, Executive Director of Finance and Business Services

Cerys joined Family Housing in September 2019 as Executive Director of Finance and Business Services.

Cerys graduated from Cardiff Business School, University of Wales, Cardiff with a honours degree in Economics and Accounting. She is a fully qualified “Big 4” trained Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Cerys has over 21 years of significant experience in a number of demanding financial management positions. Her last position prior to joining Family Housing was with a global manufacturer in a UK wide role; she has extensive experience of multi-functional change management, leading and enabling transformation and delivering robust strategic financial leadership.

Outside her busy family life, Cerys’s interests revolve around travel, books and good company.

Janet Bochel, Executive Director - People & Communities

Janet is responsible for Housing, Older Persons, Supported Housing, Property Services & Organisational Development Teams.  Janet joined the Association in January 2017.   She has a wealth of experience, having worked in a variety of roles in local authorities and housing associations in England and Wales.  She was formerly Director of Customer Services and Development at Taff Housing Association.

Janet is married with two children.  To satisfy her love for dogs she is a volunteer ‘boarder’ for Guide Dogs Cymru providing care for Guide dogs undergoing assessment, training or between clients.
