Getting Your Home Repaired

It is important that you look after your home and let us know as soon as possible if there are any faults that need repairing. Whilst you as a tenant have some maintenance responsibilities we will carry out the majority of maintenance for you.

How to report a repair

You can either phone us free on 0800 435223 then PRESS 1 on your telephone keypad, or you can:

  • Visit our offices in 43 Walter Road at any time between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
  • Tell the Support Staff or Estates Officer
  • Tell a member of staff
  • Send a fax to 01792 600290
  • Write to us at 43 Walter Road, Swansea, SA1 5PN
  • Send an e-mail to repairs@fha-wales.com
  • To report an emergency repair outside office hours please telephone 0800 435226

If you live in supported accommodation, your Support Staff will provide you with the above information and answer any further queries you may have, as part of your support.

How to query a repair that has been reported

To query a repair you have previously reported call us free on
0800 435 223 then PRESS 2 on your telephone keypad.

To discuss an existing repair you will need the name of the contractor who will undertake the work. You can find this on the repair form we sent you.

  • George Gibson Heating and Plumbing/all Gas servicing enquiries: Press 1 on your telephone keypad.
  • Taurus Electrical Services: Press 2 on your telephone keypad
  • Servicetotal: Press 3 on your telephone keypad
  • Taurus Building Maintenance: Press 4 on your telephone keypad
  • All other enquiries: Press 5

Repairs in a new home

If you are in a home which has been newly built or fully refurbished, the arrangements for repairs are different.

In the first 12 months we will pass repair problems to the building contractor. They will do all necessary repairs, and will do a full inspection at the end of the 12 months.

We would request that you do not decorate the property until after the 12 month inspection.

Compensation

If we do not carry out a repair that you have reported, you may be able to gain compensation for the inconvenience caused. Please ask a member of staff for more details.
